"Actually shameless" - Fans react to Rose Namajunas calling her next shots after UFC Denver win over Tracy Cortez 

Former UFC strawweight champion Rose Namajunas emerged victorious at the UFC Denver event on July 13. 'Thug' headlined the event against Tracy Cortez in a five-round flyweight showdown. The event was held in the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.

Namajunas outclassed Cortez for the majority of the fight and took home the victory via unanimous decision. The three judges scored the bout 49-46, 49-46 and 48-47 in favor of the former champion.

In her post-fight octagon interview with Paul Felder, 'Thug' stated that she wished to fight for the flyweight belt or the symbolic 'BMF' title in her next outing.

"Ooh man, give me the belt, man. I want it... I'm Colorado's first UFC champion. So, I wanna bring the second [belt] back here.So, either that or maybe a women's 'BMF' [title], I don't know."

Namajunas' statement caught the attention of several MMA fans who went to social media to share their reactions to it.

The former champion's words did not go down well with some people who criticized the 32-year-old for demanding a title shot.

One person labeled Namajunas' callout for a title shot as:

"Absolutely shameless."

Another individual took a dig at 'Thug's performance and shared their disapproval at Namajunas calling for a 'BMF' title fight.

"Calling for a 'BMF' fight after that? That's gonna be a no from me dawg."

But not everyone was against the idea of a women's 'BMF' title fight. One user argued that a showdown between Namajunas and Valentina Shevchenko would befit a fight for the symbolic belt.

"Give me Rose vs. Valentina if it's 'BMF'."

One fan shared their interest in watching 'Thug' take on Maycee Barber in her next outing.

"I wanna see the Maycee fight. 100% confident Rose starches her."
