A three-year-old tweet of Dustin Poirier has recently surfaced online on X. @DovySimuMMA shared Poirier’s tweet which was made on Christmas back in 2021.
In the post, 'The Diamond' extended his Christmas wishes to his fans but took a dig at Conor McGregor, Colby Covington, and Nate Diaz, by excluding them from his greetings.

Poirier has had his fair share of issues with McGregor, Diaz, and Covington, so his decision not to wish the fighters a Merry Christmas makes sense.
The aforementioned tweet caught the attention of fight fans. A user on X urged 'The Diamond' to add Michael Chandler to this list of arch-rivals.
Poirier and Chandler fought at UFC 2821 and 'The Diamond' accused 'Iron' of cheating and committing fouls following the fight. He referred to 'Iron' as a dirty fighter and there has been bad blood between the two even though Poirier won the fight with a rare naked choke in round three.
A netizen, as mentioned above, commented on the post and wrote:
"would he add Muscle Milk Mike to list too?"
Meanwhile, another fight enthusiast chimed in:
"He needs to update his list. Chandler is missing."
One user poked fun at the original tweet and wrote:
"He thought he was doing something by saying Nathaniel😭 Half the time Nate doesn’t even know his own name🤣."

"Muscle Milk Mike needs to chill" - Dustin Poirier
In July of 2024, Dustin Poirier was asked to retire by Michael Chandler after the former teased having one final fight with either Islam Makhachev and Conor McGregor through a post on X. Chandler responded to Poirier's tweet, writing:
“No thanks” - retire man…we good."
Dustin Poirier disliked Chandler's comments and went on to say the following on The MMA Hour:
"Who the f*ck is ‘we?! You just go here, buddy. You’re not one of us. You’re not ‘we.’ I’ve been here. ‘We’re good.’ Who’s we?... You’ve got one win in the UFC. He’s not one of us. I’ve been cutting my teeth in the UFC since January of 2011, 2010. He just got here. Who is we? He’s speaking for the lightweight division? Muscle Milk Mike needs to chill.”
'Iron' was last in action against Charles Olivera at UFC 309 and could not return to winning ways, with Chandler still interested in fighting Conor McGregor.
Meanwhile, 'The Diamond' fought Islam Makhachev at UFC 302 and lost the bout, after which he hinted at retirement. However, he later made it known to his fans that he would fight one last time.
