Adrian Yanez seems to have confirmed a potential feature on the UFC Fight Night card set to take place in San Antonio in March next year. The No.13-ranked bantamweight made his official promotional debut in 2020, defeating Victor Rodriguez via a vicious first-round knockout at UFC Vegas 12.

Yanez replied to a previous tweet questioning his whereabouts and the status of his next fight.

In his response, Yanez seemingly affirmed that the UFC did indeed have a matchup for him but didn't reveal the name. He wrote:

"Trying to get a fight in San Antonio. They got a name. Hoping it gets confirmed."

Adrian Yanez on his most "satisfying" victory ever

Adrian Yanez was under a lot of pressure as he went into his bout against Tony Kelley at UFC Austin in June earlier this year.

Kelley made some very controversial comments about the people of Brazil when he cornered UFC flyweight Andrea Lee a few weeks prior. Subsequently, 'Primetime' received a lot of criticism from the MMA community online and many hoped for Yanez to deliver Kelley some lessons in the octagon.

Check out the tweet below:

The 29-year-old did not fail to meet the expectations of the fans and dominated 'Primetime', ending the bout with a brutal first-round knockout. Tony Kelley was removed from the UFC roster soon after.

During the post-fight presser at UFC Austin, Adrian Yanez was asked if this was the most satisfying win of his career and the American replied:

"Oh yeah, absolutely. Man. There was an extra added thing whenever I was fighting him... Because in the middle when he started talking a little bit more s**t... I think getting in that competitive spot and finding yourself something to pump you up and all that stuff but boy. You started to talk s**t and I felt like I kept everything pretty cordial."
