Following his big return to action this past weekend at ONE 169, Adriano Moraes has his sights set on one thing.
As a multi-time ONE flyweight MMA world champion, he wants to hold the gold once again following recent events.
Moraes' most recent title reign came to an end in his trilogy of fights with Demetrious Johnson which set a new bar for the flyweight division.
However, following their third and final encounter at ONE Fight Night 10, Johnson recently announced his retirement at ONE 168.

'Mighty Mouse' vacating the title gave his former foe the opportunity to make a statement on his return and that's exactly what he went out there and did.
In a rematch with Danny Kingad at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, Adriano Moraes secured the submission victory in the second round to return to the win column.
He spoke in a post-fight interview with the Bangkok Post about looking ahead to a vacant title fight next time out:
"Yeah for sure. That's what I'm thinking about. So I'm looking forward to this fight, let's see who's gonna be the next one and we'll fight for the title for sure."

It's a new chapter for Adriano Moraes and the flyweight division
After the iconic trilogy for the world championship reached its end, it was time for both Adriano Moraes and the flyweight division to move on to the next phase.
This properly started at ONE 169 with the former divisional king's return and impressive showing against Kingad.
He proved that he's still right at the top of this weight class and his championship pedigree makes him impossible to deny for a vacant title fight in the near future.
The belt once again seems within reach for the veteran competitor who is no stranger to stepping into world title fights.
