Adriano Moraes made a bold statement in his latest Instagram post just months out from his highly anticipated trilogy bout with reigning ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson.
The two flyweight greats will meet for the third and presumably final time when ONE Championship makes its long-awaited debut in the United States on May 5. Johnson and Moraes will headline ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, a card that will also feature the return of fan favorites like Stamp Fairtex and ‘Super’ Sage Northcutt.
Ahead of the ONE flyweight title clash, Moraes took to Instagram to share images of himself following a victory inside the circle, one of which sees him holding 26.4 pounds of ONE gold.

Adriano Moraes is thrilled for opportunity to close out trilogy with Demetrious Johnson
For Adriano Moraes, the opportunity to face a legend like Demetrious Johnson is a dream come true.
After proving to the world that he can hang with the pound-for-pound great, Moraes will get the chance to close out their epic trilogy at another historic event for ONE Championship.
In an interview with the promotion, ‘Mikinho’ shared his gratitude for the opportunity, saying:
“Making this trilogy means a lot to me. It’s an honor for me to be able to make history in MMA facing an athlete like Demetrious Johnson – an athlete I never imagined I would face, and now I’m going to fight him for the third time. It’s very rewarding to have this opportunity, and I’m very happy to be doing this trilogy against one of the best fighters in the world.”
After handing Demetrious Johnson the first knockout loss of his career in April 2021, Adriano Moraes was unable to repeat the result in their August 2022 matchup, losing the ONE flyweight world championship in the process.
In their trilogy bout on May 5, Moraes will attempt to gain the upper hand once again and wrap 26.4 pounds of gold around his waist for an unprecedented fourth time.
