Adriano Moraes reveals that he wasn't 100% for his second bout with Demetrious Johnson
The Brazilian exhausted himself physically in the lead-up to his rematch with Demetrious Johnson last August. Moraes revealed to the South China Morning Post that he wasn't 100% on fight night, saying:
“Unfortunately, for my first time ever I missed my hydration test for the first time. When I came back to make the weight and didn't lose my world title on the scale, I gave my best one day before. I got my body really exhausted. When I think of the fight, in the championship rounds, I felt it a little bit. Demetrious Johnson just enjoyed this opportunity very well.”
'Mighty Mouse' enters the trilogy bout as undisputed flyweight world champ, but Adriano Moraes will do everything in his power to leave ONE Fight Night 10 as flyweight king.
The historic event will serve as ONE Championship's first-ever card to be hosted on American soil—a truly monumental moment for the organization.
Make sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5 to see Adriano Moraes attempt to win his flyweight world title back in his third meeting with Demetrious Johnson, live from the 1stBank Center in Colorado.
All of the action will be broadcast live and for free to Amazon Prime subscribers across North America.
