Belal Muhammad recently joined Shavkat Rakhmonov in pushing back against talks of Conor McGregor earning a welterweight title shot despite his lengthy layoff and postponed fights with Michael Chandler. The reigning welterweight champion doesn't appear to be devoting too much attention to the Irishman because he still hasn't returned to the octagon.
In a recent interview, Rakhmonov was asked if he'd be interested in fighting the Irishman. He responded that it'd be a lucrative fight but claimed that he doesn't think about the possibility of fighting McGregor.
During his appearance on Submission Radio, 'Remember The Name' echoed Rakhmonov's sentiments and made it known that he wouldn't be willing to wait for an extended time just to fight 'The Notorious'. Muhammad admitted wanting to fight McGregor but mentioned that he'd much rather fight the rightful contenders. He said:
"[McGregor] doesn't look good in life right now. He looks like he's coked out, he looks like he's on drugs...There would be too much for it not to happen, right?...It took him this long to make this fight happen with [Michael] Chandler. So for [the UFC] to even think that, 'Oh, Conor is gonna fight for the welterweight belt', then I got to sit around and wait for two years. No, it's not gonna happen." [26:13 - 26:59]

Belal Muhammad claims Conor McGregor has lost his edge
In addition to taking a jibe at his appearance, Belal Muhammad even claimed that he believes Conor McGregor has lost his edge.
The Irishman's last win was a dominant first-round knockout over Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 before suffering back-to-back losses to Dustin Poirier. During the interview, Muhammad claimed he doesn't see the same fire from McGregor anymore but would enjoy the back-and-forth interactions. He said:
"Like I said, I want that interaction, right? Because, I want guys that go back-and-forth. It's funner for me when a guy talks...For me, those type of fights are the ones that are exciting for me, those type of fights would be fun and Conor's lost his edge in the trash talk game right now. Even with his last couple fights with [Poirier], it just looked like bro, is this Conor?" [27:22 - 28:04]
