ONE Championship veteran and Pakistan's proud son Ahmed Mujtaba will be fighting his most high-profile opponent to date, MMA superstar Sage Northcutt, at ONE Fight Night 10. 'The Wolverine' will represent Pakistan as he squares off with the ultra-popular 'Super' Sage Northcutt on May 5th at the 1stBank Center in Colorado.
Proud of his heritage and absolutely excited to represent his flag in the Asian organization's first-ever live event on US soil, Mujtaba told ONE Championship:
"Fighting on May 5 in the United States, it’s a big thing for me. Once again, I’m representing my country in the States, the land of opportunity. There’s a lot of people from Pakistan in the U.S. They are waiting for me to represent my country, and there is a lot of Pakistanis going to be at the event, who are going to be cheering for me."

Indeed, there is a strong Pakistani community in the US and we are sure they will come to support their brother come fight night. Ahmed Mujtaba is on a two-fight winning streak with both wins coming by way of stoppage. 'The Wolverine' has an impressive 4-2 record in the promotion.
Expect 'The Wolverine' to not just try to win, but also put on a show for both the American crowd and his US-based countrymen as well.

Ahmed Mujtaba warns Sage Northcutt that he's not an easy guy to fight
Ahead of their clash at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, Ahmed Mujtaba sent a warning to his high-profile American opponent, Sage Northcutt. Their May 5th contest will be Northcutt's first fight bout in four years. 'Super' took significant time away from the sport after suffering facial fractures at the hands of Cosmo Alexandre back in 2019.
In his much-awaited in-ring return, Northcutt is expected to right the wrongs of his last bout and produce a dominant showing over Mujtaba. 'The Wolverine', however, sees things differently. He told ONE:
"“He’s going to be afraid as well. I’m not an easy guy to fight against because I need the win as well, because I’m hungry for the win, too.”
In our years following combat sports, we can say that once a fighter suffers a knockout as devastating as what Northcutt suffered against Alexandre, they can go in one of two directions. Either they develop a granite chin or a glass jaw. Ahmed Mujtaba seems to believe that Sage Northcutt will suffer the latter.
We'll just have to wait 'til May 5th to finid out.
