Ahmed Mujtaba is ready to put on a show in front of fans at the 1stBank Center in Colorado.
The Pakistani mixed martial arts world champion will be tasked with welcoming back fan favorite ‘Super’ Sage Northcutt back to the circle for the first time in four years.
In an interview with ONE Championship, ‘Wolverine’ briefly discussed his mindset going into what will undeniably be the biggest fight of his combat sports career thus far:
“I am ready for this event, you know. So everything is going good. Everything is going smooth, and all hope is from Allah. So I mean, like I don’t care whatever the result is gonna be. But I’m ready for this, you know.”

Ahmed Mujtaba, 30, is 11-2 in his pro-MMA career, with four of those wins coming under the ONE Championship banner. After alternating wins and losses in his first four outings inside the circle, ‘Wolverine’ is riding the momentum of back-to-back finishes against Rahul Raju and Abraao Amorim.
Ready to Stop Ahmed Mujtaba’s momentum will be photogenic superstar Sage Northcutt. Making his long-awaited return to the circle after a disastrous debut in 2019, ‘Super’ has a lot riding on his comeback.
He will face a tough task in trying to best Mujtaba, but Northcutt will undoubtedly have the support of the live crowd as ONE Championship makes its highly anticipated debut in the United States on May 5.
Sage Northcutt is excited to face Ahmed Mujtaba in front of a U.S. audience
‘Super’ Sage Northcutt is very excited about the opportunity to make his return on such a historic night for ONE Championship:
“Oh yeah, I’m super excited for it,” Northcutt told The MMA Superfan. “You know, first US fight for ONE Championship so I think having American athletes is also awesome. I’m super excited to be on the first US card and it’s pretty cool that it’s in Colorado so I’m looking forward to it.”
After amassing an impressive 11-2 record in the United States, Northcutt signed with ONE Championship in 2019, making his promotional debut at ONE: Enter the Dragon in 2019.
Unfortunately, things didn't go well for ‘Super’ as he suffered a vicious first-round knockout just 29 seconds into the bout. The blow delivered by his opponent, Cosmo Alexandre, was so devastating that Northcutt was forced to undergo nine hours of surgery to repair eight separate fractures in his face.
Anyone who has kept up with Northcutt on social media knows that the Texas native has not only fully healed, but is looking better than ever.
