Ahmed Mujtaba says preparations are going well for Sage Northcutt fight

At ONE Fight Night 10, Ahmed Mujtaba will look to continue his great run inside the circle in the biggest fight of his career to date.

After his last loss, ‘Wolverine’ has rebounded in style, producing back-to-back wins, with both coming by way of first-round finish.

For his next fight, Mujtaba will be competing in the United States, where his opponent will have the home advantage. ‘Super’ Sage Northcutt emerged as one of the most promising talents in the United States at a young age but has had a long period of inactivity since signing with ONE Championship.

On May 5 at Colorado’s 1stBank Center, Northcutt returns to the circle to face Mujtaba in a huge contest. Whilst Northcutt may be seen as the hometown fighter, Mujtaba is also accustomed to the US due to his training camps.

In an interview with ONE Championship, he spoke about his preparations for this matchup, which includes training at one of the top gyms in the world, American Kickboxing Academy:

“The training is going good, you know. Especially, AKA is one of the top gyms in the world that has made really good champions. So I’m under good management. I’m under good coaches.”

Sage Northcutt excited to perform in front of sold-out arena in Colorado versus Ahmed Mujtaba

At ONE Fight Night 10 in Broomfield, Colorado, Ahmed Mujtaba will welcome Sage Northcutt back to the circle.

After nearly four years away from competition, Northcutt will make his highly anticipated return to the circle. His signing with ONE Championship brought a lot of expectations with it that he hasn’t been able to live up to yet.

After losing his promotional debut, Northcutt suffered several setbacks that have kept him away from the circle, but that all changes on May 5 when he takes on Pakistan’s Ahmed Mujtaba.

On top of Northcutt’s return, the entire card is stacked with some of the biggest names on ONE Championship’s roster. As the promotion looks to make history with its first ever on-site event in the United States, ‘Super’ Sage couldn’t wait to post the news that the event has sold-out entirely.

Northcutt will look to put the past few years behind him when he steps back inside the circle in front of his home fans in the US.
