Alex Pereira is one of the most feared strikers on the current roster of UFC fighters. The kickboxer-turned-MMA fighter had a quick rise to the middleweight title with just four UFC fights and eight fights in his overall MMA career.
Pereira's victories are quite infamous. We all know of his dominance in kickboxing with 33 wins and his victories over former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya. Pereira has three wins over Adesanya: two kickboxing wins and one win in MMA. 'Poatan' has one decision, one KO and one TKO victory over 'Stylebender'.
However, Alex Pereira also has a slate of losses in his combat sports career. He has one loss in MMA and seven losses in his kickboxing career. In total, 'Poatan' has eight losses across his combat sports career.

'Poatan' had an incredible kickboxing career spanning 40 fights. Out of 33 wins, 21 have come by way of knockouts. Pereira's first loss in kickboxing came at the hands of Jason Wilnis. Wilnis and Pereira fought at "It's Showtime 60" in 2012, where he suffered a second-round TKO loss to the Dutch kickboxer.
His next three losses came via unanimous decisions at the hands of César Almeida, Artem Levin and his former foe, Jason Wilnis. At Kunlun Fight 48, Pereira was finished for the second time in his pro-kickboxing career by the Ukrainian fighter Artur Kyshenko. Alex Pereira fought his last bout in a losing effort to Russian kickboxer Artem Vakhitov at GLORY 78: Rotterdam.

Who will win the rematch between Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya?
Alex Pereira is the man to have given Israel Adesanya the most adversity in the latter's fighting career. 'Poatan' is like the boogeyman to 'Stylebender', chasing him wherever he goes and trying to best him in every bout they've had, regardless of the ruleset.
The current middleweight champion has three wins over the former middleweight champion; two in kickboxing and one in MMA. Across these victories, Pereira finished Adesanya twice, once by KO and then, by TKO in the octagon.
Israel Adesanya came close to finishing Pereira in round one of their UFC 281 bout. He was winning against Pereira, three rounds to one, on the judges' scorecards before 'Poatan' came back in the fifth to finish 'Stylebender'. This sequence was eerily similar to their second kickboxing bout, where Adesanya won the first two rounds only to get knocked out by Pereira in the third round.
Despite winning thrice against Adesanya, there are ways in which he could lose this bout. He has one submission loss in MMA, and Adesanya's chances of victory are higher if he chooses to grapple with Pereira.
