The UFC inadvertently revealed Alex Pereira and Justin Gaethje’s upcoming matchups in an X post that was quickly deleted, sparking a frenzy among fans. The now-deleted post announced Pereira facing Magomed Ankalaev and Gaethje fighting Dan Hooker at UFC 313.
These potential bouts contradict Pereira’s earlier claim that Ankalaev wouldn’t be his next opponent. The UFC light heavyweight champion claimed “It won’t be Ankalaev,” in an X post, suggesting other plans were in motion.

However, the fights were later confirmed during the UFC 311 broadcast. Pereira took to X to react to the news and wrote:

The highly anticipated bout will headline the UFC’s return to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
