The feud between Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill has just reached new heights, and 'Poatan' has offered his reaction to it. Both men crossed paths at the UFC Performance Institute, with Hill approaching Pereira in a bid to confront him.

As Hill jawed about the situation, Pereira threw a pair of gloves at him, challenging him to fight in the cage nearby. Hill, however, declined, asserting that he would not fight Pereira for free before 'Poatan's' coach intervened to diffuse the situation.

Afterward, Pereira took to X/Twitter to share the clip, including a four-word caption.

"O clima ficou tenso (The atmosphere got tense)"

After that, the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion touched on the confrontation again. This time it was in a short interview with MMA Junkie's Nolan King, who asked 'Poatan' about the encounter. Despite the bad blood between him and Hill, Pereira seemed calm.

He answered King's question with a measured take on the entire situation, even opening the door to face 'Sweet Dreams' in a rematch, but only if Hill manages to overcome Jiří Procházka at UFC 311. Unfortunately, some of 'Poatan's' words, including his willingness to face Hill in a rematch, were missed by his translator.

"Well, it happens. This is the first time it's happened to me, but I'm very focused on myself. What he does doesn't interest me and he should worry about his next fight, and who knows? If he wins, he might have a second chance to fight me."

While Hill has a tall task ahead of him in the form of Procházka, 'Poatan' is expected to defend his title against Magomed Ankalaev at some point.

Alex Pereira finished Jamahal Hill at UFC 300

Alex Pereira's first bout with Jamahal Hill couldn't have transpired any better for the reigning light heavyweight champ. Under the bright lights of the UFC 300 main event, Pereira shrugged off a groin kick in stone-cold fashion, stopping referee Herb Dean from intervening without even sparing him a glance.

Seconds later, he floored Hill with his patented left hook, pouncing with ground-and-pound for the TKO win in just three minutes of round one.
