Alex Pereira makes feelings known on whether Magomed Ankalaev is any "different from other guys" he's fought 

Alex Pereira is set to clash against Magomed Ankalaev in the headliner of UFC 313 on March 8, 2025, at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Ahead of the highly anticipated fight, the reigning light heavyweight champion discussed Ankalaev as an opponent.

‘Poatan’ has successfully defended his belt three times, with all three victories coming via knockout. Ankalaev, who had been in line for a title shot since the beginning of 2024, often accused the champion of avoiding a fight with him. He will finally get his chance to prove himself against the third-ranked pound-for-pound fighter.

Recently, the Brazilian star attended UFC 311, and while speaking to ESPN MMA, he revealed how he is preparing for the upcoming battle. He also mentioned that Ankalaev is just another opponent to him, stating:

“I'm developing my MMA game all around, I want to show it and I think he's a guy who will allow me to do so. He says he will stand and strike with me and maybe he will, but maybe he won't. I am ready for everything."

Magomed Ankalaev gives stern warning to Alex Pereira ahead of UFC 313

Leading up to the official announcement of the matchup, many things were said by Magomed Ankalaev to Alex Pereira on social media, with the former even accusing the latter of ducking him.

As the UFC made the official announcement for the headliner of UFC 313, Pereira took to X, writing:

"See you soon, Ankalaev."

The Russian fighter took notice of Pereira's post and issued a stern warning to the champion, asserting that he would punish him for avoiding a fight with him. Ankalaev responded:

“You just sign your death certificate I’m gonna punish you for ducking me and I’m gonna make you look like a guy work in a tire shop not professional Fighter.”
