Alex Pereira recently made it clear that he intends to remain active as he posted an Instagram story that leaned into the public perception he has gained. The Brazilian is currently scheduled to defend his light heavyweight championship against Khalil Rountree at UFC 307, which will be his third bout of the year.
'Poatan' has undoubtedly become a company man for the UFC as he has accepted short-notice title defenses without any hesitation and delivered incredible performances. The Brazilian agreed to fight Jamahal Hill in the main event of UFC 300 in April. He followed that up with another short-notice bout against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303 after Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler was scrapped.
The reigning light heavyweight champion finished both Hill and Prochazka and will look to do the same against Rountree. Ahead of his next title defense, Pereira uploaded a hilarious photo replicating a legal counsel ad and implied that he is offering his services to fight on short notice when needed:
"Injured? We'll fight for you! Call toll free. 1-(800) 555-Chama. Pereira & Pereira"
