A former UFC champion recently opined that one of Alex Pereira's potential rivals will find himself on the floor despite his enormous size. He pointed out the flawed strategy of Pereira's rival as the primary reason behind his prediction.
The individual in question is the former light heavyweight title challenger, Magomed Ankalaev. The Dagestan native has challenged Pereira in multiple ways including an in-octagon callout at UFC 308. But he hasn't received any positive response as of now.
However, appearing in a recent TNT Sports video, Michael Bisping implied that Ankalaev would get a shot at the light heavyweight gold in the upcoming year.
Bisping complimented Ankalaev's well-rounded fight style along with labeling him as a "gigantic" light heavyweight. But he predicted that he would get "knocked out" by Pereira due to his strategy of playing according to his rival's strengths.

"When you look at some of the people Pereira beat, Khalil Rountree Jr., Jiri Prochazka, great fighters, but they do have some holes. Magomed Ankalaev is much bigger than those guys, he’s gigantic for the weight class… He’s not a Khabib-styled wrestler but he can wrestle, but he says he’s not gonna use it… He’s gonna go out there. He’s gonna trade with him and then probably get knocked out."

Alex Pereira clarified that Magomed Ankalaev won't be his next challenger
Magomed Ankalaev has been hoping for a shot at Alex Pereira's light heavyweight gold for quite a few months now. The Dagestani also solidified his position as a deserving title shot contender with a unanimous decision victory over Aleksandar Rakic at UFC 308.
But Ankalaev's victory over Rakic wasn't enough to convince Pereira. 'Poatan' clarified his stance about rejecting Ankalaev's UFC 308 callout with an X update a few days back. It read:
"It won’t be Ankalaev!"
