UFC-WWE merger: Alexander Volkanovski and Robert Whittaker answer questions dressed as wrestling legends
Australian UFC stars Alexander Volkanovski and Robert Whittaker recently appeared on an episode of Main Event’s Fight Week, which airs on Fox Sports Australia.
Just as host Niko Parajillo was about to start breaking down the UFC-WWE merger, 'The Great' and 'The Reaper' made a surprise entrance to themed music dressed as WWE legends Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan for a funny skit about the merger.
As they settled down in their seats, the host asked them to name which UFC fighters would be most suited for the WWE. In Hogan's voice, Whittaker humorously replied:
"Brother, I want you to listen to me and listen to me good. Brother, when I’m speaking to you, look me in the eyes! I’m already in the WWE."
Alexander Volkanovski continued in 'Stone Cold's voice:
"I mean, how about the disrespect? We’re standing right here in your presence, outfits and all, and you’re going to ask me who’s going to be best in WWE? I’m going to tell you, we’re going to be the best."
