Alexander Volkanovski discusses future title fight and potential location
Alexander Volkanovski's future in the UFC is unclear, as he is rumored to face Diego Lopes or Ilia Topuria in a title rematch. After his victory over Max Holloway, Topuria mentioned in his octagon interview that the Australian deserves a rematch.
Now, 'The Great' has shut down the rumors of his fight with Lopes and revealed that he will be contesting for the title next on his YouTube channel, saying:
“We don’t know exactly what is going on just yet. Obviously we’re fighting for the title. When is that going to be? That’s sort of a question, so let’s see if we can get a stadium in Spain.”
He continued:
“Could Sydney still be an option? If so, I’m going to stay fit, making sure [of that], because I’ll be getting close to camp now anyway if we do make Sydney. ... We’ll see what happens, but nothing locked in yet.”
