Alexis Nicolas says he is ready to strip Regian Eersel of his immortality again at ONE Fight Night 25

French star Alexis Nicolas is ready for the worst, but he also has enough confidence to prove his worth.

When he faces Regian Eersel to top the ONE Fight Night 25 card in U.S. primetime, Nicolas knows that he's not only defending his title, but he's also trying to push his name even further.

The reigning ONE lightweight kickboxing world champion is indeed very confident with his own skills, but he also wants do something no one has ever done before in ONE Championship: defeating Eersel in his own game twice.

He told South China Morning Post in an interview ahead of their October 4 matchup inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Nicolas said:

"His nickname is 'The Immortal'. I killed him one time and he’s coming back, but I’m ready to kill him every time he comes back."

Alexis Nicolas is gunning for a knockout over Regian Eersel at ONE Fight Night 25

As a new ONE world champion who claimed the belt via judges' decision over Regian Eersel in their first encounter, Alexis Nicolas is determined to produce a massive victory, preferably via knockout.

Ahead of their scheduled rematch in the main event of ONE Fight Night 25 on October 4, Nicolas shared his mission to ONE Championship in erasing any doubts on his first victory, as well as answering the question of who's the best.

He said:

"For the next fight, I'm going to show I'm a very powerful fighter -- and I can do everything. So, a lot of crazy punches, crazy, crazy footwork. But I will score a KO in the next fight for sure."

Since his promotional debut in January this year, Alexis Nicolas has had a great start by winning his first two matches.
