Aljamain Sterling's dispute with Movsar Evloev appears to be far from over, as Sterling recently made a jab at the latter. Sterling has once again accused Evloev of using performance-enhancing drugs ahead of UFC 307.

Sterling will face Evloev in his second featherweight bout at UFC 307. The pay-per-view event will take place on Oct. 5 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The former bantamweight champion is determined to overcome the unbeaten Russian to progress to UFC gold. Meanwhile, Evloev is adamant about rescheduling a fight with reigning UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria.

In a recent interview with Home of Fight, Sterling has doubled down on his claims that Evloev uses performance-enhancing drugs, saying (via Home of Fight on X):

''From what I've heard through the grapevine, he's not a clean athlete...people can say whatever, you have no proof, I'm like dude same thing people were saying about TJ Dillashaw from years ago and teaching people how to do it, Cody Garbrandt calling him out at the press conference.''

Sterling added:

''Those conversations are not very different from what I've had about Movsar and I think where there's smoke, there's fire. Do I have any hard evidence, like did I see the guy stick a needle up his ass, no, did he pop for anything yet, no, maybe he never will"

Sterling (24-4) advanced to the featherweight division after losing his bantamweight title to Sean O'Malley via second-round knockout at UFC 292. In his 145-pound debut at UFC 300, 'Funk Master' defeated Calvin Kattar by unanimous decision.

Meanwhile, Evloev (18-0) is unbeaten in the promotion. In his last octagon appearance at UFC 297 earlier this year, the 30-year-old defeated Arnold Allen by unanimous decision.

Aljamain Sterling eyes a title shot with potential win at UFC 307

There is a lot of animosity between Aljamain Sterling and Movsar Evloev heading into their featherweight bout at UFC 307. Both fighters have traded barbs on social media over Sterling's PED remarks, and they will look to settle their differences inside the octagon next month.

With a victory over Evloev, Sterling hopes to make a compelling case for himself to receive a shot at the title. In the aforementioned interview, the former bantamweight champion stated:

''I really do think I could beat his a*s in the first round and get him out of there. We'll see if that happens. I think that gives me a strong case to be fighting for a title next.''
