Aljamain Sterling has slammed an MMA YouTuber's rant against his teammate Merab Dvalishvili.
YouTuber THE MMA GURU criticized Dvalishvili for not being willing to fight Sterling despite being the No.1-ranked contender in the bantamweight division. Dvalishvili recently dominated former champion Petr Yan through five rounds to claim the top spot in the division, but won't fight 'Funk Master' as they are teammates and friends.
THE MMA GURU had some harsh words for Dvalishvili and seemingly went overboard with his criticism of the Georgian fighter:
“So he [Dvalishvili] won’t fight Aljo whatsoever because he’s a cuck. And he wants Aljo to have his own success while he is a bodyguard of the division, which is absolutely crazy to see. We’ve never seen anything like that before because normally men have penises. That’s a normal big thing that men have in the MMA world, especially in the UFC. High testosterone men... But Merab doesn’t have one so therefore there’s no point him even having his own life. Even though very easily he could be a champion and beat Aljamain Sterling…”

Aljamain Sterling lashed out at the popular YouTuber and insinuated that being behind a digital wall has afforded fans a lot of comfort:
"The internet got people like this wayyyy too comfortable talking this crazy. Real men have to answer for their words."

Aljamain Sterling dismisses idea of fighting teammate Merab Dvalishvili over current UFC pay structure
Aljamain Sterling recently addressed talk of him fighting Merab Dvalishvili, shutting down any chance of the matchup coming to fruition.
The bantamweight champion pointed out that the current pay structure did not recompense them in a way that they would be willing to compromise their relationship over it.
Sterling also mentioned that he intends to move up to the featherweight division, thus opening up a championship opportunity for his teammate. In an interview with Robbie Fox on My Mom's Basement, 'Funk Master' said:
"Why would we ever cross that type of line to do something that’s not going to last us, that’s not going to set us up financially for the rest of our lives? That’s just not worth it for me. I’m going to be there every step of the way, he’s going to be there with me as well."
He added:
"I met his family, and he’s met my family. We live across the street from each other. We both moved here with a goal in mind. I plan on eventually going up to 145, I want to just take out the trash, and I know ‘Triple Turd’ is saying whatever he’s saying about beating us both in one night.”
