Aljamain Sterling recently disclosed how he'd ideally like to finish his professional career inside the octagon and what he'd like to accomplish before he hangs up his gloves. The 35-year-old noted that he still has one goal he'd like to achieve and is fueled by proving his doubters wrong.

'Funk Master' has already secured a great deal of success during his MMA career including a record-setting reign as UFC bantamweight champion. During his rule, Sterling successfully retained the title on three occasions, with all three wins coming against former champions in Petr Yan, T.J. Dillashaw, and Henry Cejudo. Now at this stage of his career at 145 pounds, he expressed interest in accomplishing another goal by winning the featherweight belt.

In a recent video posted to his YouTube channel ahead of UFC 310, 'Funk Master' disclosed that he'd like to end his career as featherweight champion and is dedicated and putting the hard work in to hopefully achieve that.

Sterling mentioned that he not only wants to retire on top, but would also like to etch his name in the UFC history books by joining the list of fighters that became two-division champions:

"I guess to end my career the way I would like to end it would be as a UFC champion again. Two-division champion and I'll be on the short list of people to win belts in two different weight classes. New challenges, new faces, more people doubting you, more people to prove wrong and to prove myself right once again." [0:31]
