Aljamain Sterling recently addressed MMA Guru's criticism of Umar Nurmagomedov, which surfaced amid a flurry of injury excuses following his bout with Merab Dvalishvili. Sterling's longtime friend, 'The Machine', delivered a dominant performance to earn a unanimous decision victory over Nurmagomedov in the co-main event of UFC 311, successfully retaining his bantamweight title.
Despite a promising start, Nurmagomedov's championship bid faltered against Dvalishvili in the later rounds. It was later disclosed that 'The Young Eagle' had sustained a debilitating left-hand fracture early in the fight, significantly compromising his ability to compete effectively for the remainder of the bout.

Aljamain Sterling blasts fans celebrating Umar Nurmagomedov's loss
Aljamain Sterling recently criticized Umar Nurmagomedov and his fanbase, accusing them of showing a lack of respect for Merab Dvalishvili following the Dagestani's first career defeat.
An X user recently analyzed fan reactions following Dvalishvili's victory over Nurmagomedov, and expressed that many fans are just happy that 'The Young Eagle' lost his perfect undefeated record.
'Funk Master' largely agreed with the user's analysis but further noted that Nurmagomedov's fanbase has a history of being disrespectful to other competitors as well:
"I agree with everything except the ending statement. People are this happy because their fanbase constantly gloats, boasts, and bashs other fighters chasing a dream. All haram. What is there not to be happy? Do you finally understand, or are you still blind to this?"
