Aljamain Sterling recently gave his take on a potential fight between Renato Moicano and Paddy Pimblett. If the UFC doesn't schedule Moicano against Beneil Dariush, his original opponent for UFC 311, Sterling wants to see the Brazilian take on 'The Baddy'.
Moicano was scheduled to face Dariush on the main card of UFC 311 this past weekend. However, a day before the pay-per-view, headliner Arman Tsarukyan pulled out of his title fight against lightweight champion Islam Makhachev, and 'Money' stepped in for the Armenian challenger.
Moicano went on to lose via first-round submission, tapping to a D'Arce choke. Pimblett shared his live reaction to the title fight and slammed Moicano for tapping and not lasting long against Makhachev. The Brazilian clapped back at the Brit, who then responded:
''I’m not talking sh*t Renato I’m talking facts, u tapped after like 2 seconds like a b*tch, only chance you’ll ever get to be a @ufc world champ & u quit like an absolute sausage! I’d make u quit just like Islam did you''

Following Moicano and Pimblett's back-and-forth on X, Sterling stated that they should fight one another:
''I think you guys should fight if Moicano isn’t gonna get the rebooking with Dariush''
Moicano currently holds the No.10 spot in the division, while Pimblett is No.12. Notably, the latter called out the former after his submission win over King Green last year.
Renato Moicano explains his mistakes in UFC 311 loss to Islam Makhachev
Renato Moicano was unsuccessful in his title bid against Islam Makhachev at UFC 311, as he was submitted in the opening round. Moicano uploaded a video to his YouTube channel two days after the bout outlining his errors.
Explaining that Makhachev baited him into exposing his neck, the Brazilian lightweight said:
''When I started to create the space in the scrambles to get back on the feet, he kind of gave me the sense that I could put my foot on his hips and get back up. But he did that so I could expose my neck. Then he grabbed with a D’Arce choke and was very fast. That’s why I tapped so fast because it was very locked.”
