Aljamain Sterling has weighed in on the controversial debate about prime Mike Tyson vs. prime Daniel Cormier.
Earlier this month, a popular X account called 'DovySimuMMA' reignited the never-ending debate about who would win a street fight between a world-class boxer and an MMA fighter. The particular example utilized was Cormier's throwback quote about his confidence in defeating Tyson.
Many fighters have weighed in on the conversation over the last week, including UFC lightweight Chase Hooper. He had this to say on social media:
"The people that think that Mike would beat DC in a street fight are the same ones who thought he’d outbox Jake Paul at 58 years old. Now DC might lose an ear, but one takedown and it’s over"

Former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling responded to Chase Hooper by providing his opinion on the debate:
"I think context of where this street fight is taking place matters. In a bar? In the literal streets? Is Tyson rocking Timbs or got on som Sike's? It depends where for me!"
Many combat sports fans and fighters seemingly believe Daniel Cormier's grappling skills would lead to a one-sided beatdown against Mike Tyson.
Meanwhile, other people claim Tyson's power and understanding of boxing range would lead to a knockout victory against Cormier in the street.
Mike Tyson admits he "blanked out" against Jake Paul
Last November, Mike Tyson and Jake Paul made history by attracting millions of viewers for their controversial boxing match. Unfortunately, the hype didn't match the fighting action, as 58-year-old Tyson failed to find any success in a unanimous decision loss against 27-year-old Paul.
During an interview on FOX Sports Radio, Tyson had this to say about the fight:
"I don't remember the fight that much, I kind of blanked out a little... Know what I remember? I remember coming back from the first round, and Jake is doing some kind of, I don't know what he was doing. That's the last thing I remember."
Jake Paul's win against Mike Tyson extended his professional boxing record to 11-1. The 27-year-old maintains his belief that he will become a world champion in the sport, which has been widely disputed by fans.
