In a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE), host Joe Rogan and comedian Theo Von delved into an unexpected topic: Gatorade’s evolution from its original formula to the current version filled with artificial ingredients and sweeteners.

Rogan pointed out that the original Gatorade, created in 1965 by Dr. Robert Cade at the University of Florida, was a simple hydration solution consisting of glucose, sodium, potassium, and water:

"So this was a criticism... talking about the original Gatorade versus the Gatorade that they have now with all these crazy dyes and the color blue and all these other weird sh*t like. Gatorade didn't used to be like that. Gatorade was just like a hydration drink. That was pretty f**king good. Pretty f**king good. Hydration drinks are legit. Electrolytes, that's a legit thing, you know, you really do need."

Rogan also touched on how the drink’s rebranding with celebrity endorsements, particularly by Michael Jordan, introduced the current sugary formula to the masses. He argued that while electrolytes are vital for rehydration, the addition of unnecessary ingredients has strayed far from Gatorade’s original purpose.

"Pepsi bought Gatorade and Michael Jordan sweetened it with high fructose corn syrup. And voila. Michael Jordan brought us into the high fructose corn syrup maze.”

Joe Rogan reacts to Justin Trudeau's resignation amid political turmoil

Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his resignation, ending a nine-year tenure marked by increasing political pressure and growing support for the Conservative Party.

The announcement came as Trudeau faced criticism over his handling of key issues, including the controversial trucker protests.

On a recent episode of The JRE, UFC commentator Joe Rogan weighed in on Trudeau's resignation. Rogan criticized Trudeau's leadership, calling him a "fake progressive" and highlighting his actions during the trucker protests, including attempts to freeze bank accounts of protest supporters:

"He's stepping down till they find a replacement and then he leaves. He's like a fake progressive. The whole thing's fake, that's why he was an authoritarian and he kept cracking down on people's rights and they all really saw it during that trucker protest because that's when it was really in front of everybody's face, where you couldn't ignore it. Here is this guy who is trying to freeze bank accounts from the people that donated money to the truckers."

Comedian Theo Von quipped by saying:

"I liked him better when he was black."
