Allycia Hellen Rodrigues is elated by the fact that Muay Thai fights will be streaming on Brazil’s largest broadcasting channel, Combate.
The Muay Thai queen makes her long-awaited comeback after nearly three years with her first world title defense against two-sport world champion ‘JT’ Janet Todd next Friday, March 24 at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.
The promotion has undergone a lot of major changes while she was away, including a multi-global broadcasting partnership with Amazon Prime Video and most recently, Globo’s Combate in Brazil. The idea that Muay Thai will expand and become more mainstream in Brazil, hasn’t been lost on Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.
With the partnership off to a hot start in Brazil, Allycia Hellen Rodrigues is thrilled by the prospect of her Muay Thai fights being watched by her fellow countrymen in a way they couldn’t before.

The 24-year-old sensation recently shared her thoughts with ONE and said:
“It’s a door that opens for Brazilian Muay Thai. There will certainly be more sponsorship opportunities, which is not easy to achieve. But with this visibility, I believe it will help Brazilian athletes a lot. I found this partnership incredible, because many people in Brazil will be able to follow the event and meet some athletes who represent Brazil in the organization.”
All ONE Fight Night events are broadcast live and for free in North America via Prime Video.
Allycia Hellen Rodrigues says she is hungry for the knockout after a long layoff
Allycia Hellen Rodrigues said she’s anxious to get her first knockout in ONE after having such a long layoff.
While she was away on maternity leave, the world saw a new queen crowned as the interim atomweight Muay Thai world champion last July. ‘JT’ Janet Todd made history at ONE 159 by becoming a rare two-sport world champion when defeated Spain’s Lara Fernandes after five rounds of grueling action.
Refusing to let her rival get too comfortable, Rodrigues returns with a newfound motivation to put the American superstar in her place and establish herself as the undisputed ONE atomweight Muay Thai world champion. It will be a lot more satisfying to win now that she has her fellow Brazilians rooting for her across the other side of the world.
Speaking to ONE, Rodrigues announced her intentions:
“I’m going to knock her out. I believe we’ll exchange some blows in the first and second rounds, but the intention is to press from the beginning in search of the knockout.”
