Brazil's Allycia Hellen Rodrigues is hyping up fans for her upcoming atomweight Muay Thai world title unification bout at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.

The 24-year-old will face Janet Todd, who attained the interim atomweight Muay Thai title by beating Lara Fernandez last July. Rodrigues will step inside the circle for the first time in nearly three years. Allycia Hellen Rodrigues became the ONE atomweight Muay Thai world champion when she edged out Stamp Fairtex via a majority decision back in August 2020.

Allycia Hellen Rodrigues assures fans that fight with Janet Todd will be exciting

Rodrigues was one-half of an epic war with Stamp in her lone ONE Championship appearance to this point. The champ is confident that her bout with Janet Todd will excite fans, telling the promotion:

“I've been training very well... I always prepare very well for every fight. Regardless of who the opponent is, I will always arrive 100 percent prepared. Because of our fighting styles, I'm sure we'll put on a great fight for the fans.”

Todd has been incredible since signing with ONE in 2019. The American boasts a record of 7-1, beating the likes of Chuang Kai Ting, Ekaterina Vandaryeva, Lara Fernandez, and Stamp Fairtex to win the atomweight kickboxing world title. If she's able to defeat Allycia Hellen Rodrigues at ONE Fight Night 8, she'll hold both the undisputed belts of the atomweight Muay Thai and kickboxing divisions.

Meanwhile, Rodrigues has been calling Thailand home for many years, learning at the world-renowned Phuket Fight Club. She currently has a 30-5 professional Muay Thai record between Brazil and Thailand and is looking for her second ONE victory.
