Brazil's Allycia Hellen Rodrigues is making her return to action. Ahead of it, she's shared her final training session before squaring off with Janet Todd at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.

Rodrigues will step into the circle for the first time since beating Stamp Fairtex by majority decision back in August 2020. That victory earned her the women's atomweight Muay Thai world title. However, she stepped away from competition to focus on her pregnancy.

Her layoff made for an interim title to be implemented, which was attained by America's Janet Todd last July when she defeated Lara Fernandez.

Ahead of her return, Rodrigues wrote on Instagram:

Allycia Hellen Rodrigues admits to feeling anxious prior to long-awaited return at ONE Fight Night 8

Almost every combat sports athlete feels some sort of anxiety in the lead-up to a fight, especially if they have been away from competition for a few years.

Allycia Hellen Rodrigues admitted to ONE Championship that she is feeling anxious ahead of her title unification bout, revealing:

“I certainly had more time to work on some things and improve others that I already felt comfortable doing. Anxiety is part of it, right? It's been a long time since my last fight, so the desire to fight is getting stronger. And I try to put that desire more and more into each training session.”

Since Rodrigues' last appearance, Janet Todd has tallied three victories over Alma Juniku, Anne Line Hogstad, and the aforementioned Fernandes. Back in February 2020, 'JT' secured the women's atomweight kickboxing world title by defeating promotional superstar Stamp Fairtex by split decision.

Meanwhile, Rodrigues is one of the most highly touted striking prospects on ONE's roster. She amassed a 30-5 pro Muay Thai record prior to signing with the promotion, and became a world champ in just one bout in the circle.

Make sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24 to watch Allycia Hellen Rodrigues make her return in a women's atomweight Muay Thai title unification bout against Janet Todd, live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

All of the action can be broadcast live and for free to Amazon Prime subscribers across North America.
