American star Alyse Anderson is heading into perhaps the toughest test of her young career when she faces No.1-ranked atomweight and ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix Champion Stamp Fairtex of Thailand.

Stamp called Anderson out last year, looking to throw down with the American Top Team proponent at ONE Championship’s first U.S. live event. Now, the two are finally set to do battle.

Alyse Anderson and Stamp Fairtex face off at ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs Moraes III on Prime Video. The event will be broadcast live from the 1stBank Center in Colorado on Friday, May 5. It will stream in the United States and Canada on Amazon Prime.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Anderson recalled what she felt at the time after hearing Stamp call her out to a fight. She said:

“When it was offered to me, I was like, well, if I am going to fight here, I want to fight the best. And what better way to fight her than in ONE's debut in the U.S.? Because I knew eventually, we would probably fight and meet up in the division.”

Anderson is currently deep in training, with the likes of Brazilian jiu-jitsu legend and 17-time BJJ world champion Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida and former ONE flyweight world champion Adriano ‘Mikinho’ Moraes at American Top Team in South Florida. She will need all the help she can get to prepare for Stamp, a striking and grappling menace from Bangkok.

If she can defeat Stamp, the former ONE atomweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion, Anderson could very well take her top spot in the atomweight rankings and position herself for a shot at the golden belt in the future.

Needless to say, it’s a huge opportunity for the American, and one that she is not taking lightly.
