An unimpressed Terence Crawford gives mocking reaction to Jaron Ennis' callout following win over David Avanesyan: "The double standards be crazy!"

Terence Crawford recently made fun of Jaron Ennis following his boxing clash against David Avanesyan. The event took place on July 13 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The 27-year-old is one of today's fastest-rising boxers and is well-known for having the perfect combination of power and speed. The undefeated fighter has a 32-0 career record. He entered the fight with a knockout win against Roiman Villa in July of last year.

Meanwhile, Avanesyan (30-5) was coming off a knockout win against Serge Ambomo last December. He stepped in as a replacement for Cody Crowley, who withdrew himself due to a retinal issue.

The IBF welterweight world champion performed brilliantly in front of his hometown audience by TKOing a tough Avanesyan. Ennis successfully defended his title and won the fight after dropping the 35-year-old with a counter left in the fifth round. The fight was stopped by the referee before the sixth round could begin, at the recommendation of a ringside medic, resulting in a TKO victory for 'Boots'.

Following the win, Ennis called out Crawford for a potential boxing match during his post-fight interview. This came after his promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing, showed interest in a possible fight with the 36-year-old if 'Bud' wins his upcoming bout.

''I want the big names. Terence Crawford, anybody else.. can get it. Let's make it happen!''

However, that didn't sit well with Crawford, who responded by mocking both Ennis and Hearn for the call-out on X, writing:

''World class fighter now hun? 🤣🤣🤣 my the double standards be crazy!!! @EddieHearn you talk good.''

It will be intriguing to watch if Crawford and Ennis' potential boxing showdown takes place soon, as the WBO and WBA welterweight champion currently preparing to face WBA super welterweight champion Israil Madrimov on August 3.
