Unbeaten superstar Anatoly Malykhin is ONE Championship's newest light heavyweight world titleholder following his first-round stoppage win over Reinier de Ridder.
After the memorable result, 'Sladkiy' had many people to thank, including his coaches and training partners. Malykhin took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt message to those who helped him:
"Thank you, @johnboyboxing. This time we had a special preparation with him. Every morning for three months, at 6-7 in the morning, we were already in the gym and plowing. He was bothering, looking for vitamins, ordered them from somewhere in America. He kept asking me how I was feeling. In general, with such a coach, you can take all the belts of the planet!"

ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong praises Anatoly Malykhin's title-winning performance at ONE on Prime Video 5
Fans around the world were in awe of Anatoly Malykhin's most recent outing. The undefeated champion thoroughly impressed ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong as well, who told reporters afterward:
“It's one of those extraordinary performances that you'll see every now and then. I think the world is very lucky to see a performance like that. I mean, how often do you get a storyline of two undefeated world champions going at it? Where Anatoly was arguably the underdog.”
Not only did Malykhin hand de Ridder his very first loss, but he did so in emphatic fashion in the fight's opening minutes. Expect a rematch in the near future.
