Controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate has lashed out at the media over an alleged smear campaign in the aftermath of a recent Florida court ruling in his favor regarding a defamation lawsuit he and his brother Tristan had filed against one of their accusers.
Tate took to X/Twitter, where he shared a screenshot of several news outlets with unflattering headlines about him. He captioned the tweet with an accusation, claiming that news outlets were waging a smear campaign to distract from the positive development of the recent Florida court ruling.
"After having our names cleared in Florida court the media do a synchronised attack on us in perfect unison to try and bury the good news. The Matrix is real."

This isn't the first time that Tate has alleged the existence of a conspiracy against him, perpetrated by various entities, ranging from the political to the social. Both Andrew and Tristan have been embroiled in frequent controversy, with the most infamous being the human trafficking and sexual assault charges he's facing.
Despite the intense criticism he is often confronted with, Tate remains defiant, and believes that he will eventually prevail over the forces that be. His brother also holds the same opinions, with the two men often mirroring each other's views. Ultimately, their fate will be decided in Romania.
The two men are expected to undergo a long and arduous trial before they face the conclusion of their long legal battle. Both brothers, though, believe they will emerge from the ordeal innocent.
Andrew Tate has always had a complex relationship with the media
Last year, Andrew Tate took part in a BBC interview with Lucy Williamson, which drew tremendous attention for the former kickboxer's claim of being the most influential man in the world. Williamson took exception to this distinction, and eventually cut the interview shut after growing frustrated with Tate.
Now, Tate has taken aim at the BBC again, with a second tweet.
"5000 retweets and I do a video explaining the BBC are lying scumbag pieces of sh*t."
He labeled the BBC liars and claimed that he would expose them for alleged falsehoods.
