Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan were arrested last week as part of an inquiry into human trafficking claims, which they deny. Authorities suspect the pair, together with two Romanian men, of operating an organized crime group. Tate's attorney recently issued a cautious statement about his client's recent detainment.
Last week on Thursday night, Romania's Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) released a statement without naming the Tate brothers. The statement indicated that two British and two Romanian citizens were suspected of being involved in human trafficking.
According to the police, the victims were recruited by the British nationals, who allegedly misled them about their desire to form a romantic relationship with the victims. The statement stated that they were later forced to perform pornographic content under threat of assault.

Andrew Tate's attorney, Eugen Constantin Vidineac, cautiously stated outside the courthouse that an appeal had been filed to overturn the decision to keep the influencer in jail for a few weeks:
"The court has issued an arrest warrant for 30 days. We’ve appealed it, the court will decide after the appeal what the final solution is. We are not at a stage where guilt or innocence is proven, for now we only discuss preventive measures and the opportunity to take certain measures."
He further added:
"In my opinion, in the best possible way, there are no grounds for taking the most drastic preventive measures provided by the criminal procedure court. The judge has a prerogative to pronounce a solution."

When Andrew Tate predicted his arrest on Sean O'Malley's podcast
A few days ago, Andrew Tate, a notorious UK celebrity and former professional kickboxer, gained global attention after engaging in a Twitter conflict with climate change activist Greta Thunberg. What began as a provocative tweet landed Tate and his brother Tristan in prison on charges of alleged human trafficking, rape, and organization of a criminal gang.
Thunberg's reference to him as "small di*k energy" did not sit well with the controversial celebrity. He has previously been criticized for his misogynistic lifestyle and was removed from the UK Big Brother House after a viral video of him assaulting a girl surfaced.
Interestingly, Andrew Tate predicted his arrest during a podcast with UFC bantamweight star Sean O'Malley:
"First they delete you and then after that there are imaginary charges and send you to jail. And the third is put a bullet in your head. I've kind of used up one of my lives. So when they were contacting and calling all these people it's like they're trying to drum up some charges on me. They're just trying to find a reason to send me to jail."
