Andrew Tate's recent arrest and custodial extension in Romania has been a hotly debated topic on the internet. The controversial influencer was arrested on charges of trafficking by Romanian authorities. In the past, he has been extremely vocal about moving to Romania to avail himself of the leniency afforded by the law.
The American-British social media personality took to Twitter to rant about his current situation:
"Romania is a communist country. Zero evidence and zero proof only suspicions. They will lock you in jail, And try to find you guilty of things. They will then waste your life as they fail. Release you years later and not even apologize."

Andrew Tate was met with a harsh reality check from Twitter users who called him out on his hypocrisy.
"You moved there so you could take advantage of the accessible corruption Now you’re moaning about the corruption?? Lmao"
"Well your the one who decided to set up base there tate. Plenty of vids of you saying you can pay off the courts in Romania. What happened top G ? Your finding out the hard way"
"You publicly said that you moved to Romania because you could bribe the authorities. They don’t want people to know that. They’re making an example of you dude. Should have kept quiet and kept making motivational videos instead."
"Bro Romania is a corrupt country. You paid them what they want and enjoyed your privileges but you kept hitting on matrix. The Matrix probably gave them more money than you could offer. Corrupt countries are a two edged swords, only commitment would be to who pays the most."
Others offered solutions and rhetorical questions while making light of the situation.
"Doesn’t seem like the smartest chess move to move there"
