Meksen was to fight Stamp in a mixed-rules superfight, combining Muay Thai and MMA. It was to be followed by a match for the ONE interim atomweight kickboxing world title in March. Now, with the last-minute pullout from her fight, the future of Anissa Meksen is uncertain.
Stamp Fairtex defeats Anna 'Supergirl' Jaroonsak
At ONE Fight Night 6, Stamp Fairtex accepted a fight against an opponent who had a reach, height, and weight advantage over her. In a kickboxing bout, Stamp was able to earn a split decision win against Anna 'Supergirl' Jaroonsak.
In the post-fight interview, Stamp said:
“I actually prepared this fight for Anissa, but it’s okay. I have to fight anyone they got for me. She was actually brilliant, she was amazing in this fight ... It wasn’t a big change, I’ve always been a Muay Thai fighter. I only knew it very very early on, but I got this.”
Stamp's future goal is to earn ONE Championship world titles in three sports. She wants ONE gold in MMA, having already held belts in kickboxing and Muay Thai.
She explained her future plans in an interview with Calf Kick Sports, saying:
"In five years I think I’d still be around. Hopefully, I’ll be having three of my titles, and also I’ll be defending the titles."
