Anissa Meksen was "very happy" to defeat Kana Morimoto.
On Friday, De. 20, Meksen returned to action for the first time since her world title loss against Jackie Buntan. The former seven-time Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion tested herself once again at ONE Friday Fights 92, as she faced former K-1 champion Kana Morimoto.
Meksen wasn't overly happy with Kana calling her out in the past. They had previously trained together for several weeks, making 'C18' feel betrayed when the Japanese superstar wanted to fight her.
Meksen defeated Kana by unanimous decision in their ONE Friday Fights 92 kickboxing bout. During her post-fight press conference, the French-Algerian striker had this to say about her latest win:

"I was very happy to win tonight because it was a long war with her. She trained with me in 2021. She trained with me, she ate with me, and she fought after the training camp, and she called me out. So I was a little bit shocked. And now I faced her tonight, and I won, so I'm happy to win."

Anissa Meksen explains her "simple" plan heading into 2025
At 36 years old, Anissa Meksen has solidified her legacy as a former seven-time kickboxing and Muay Thai world champion. 'C18' has never secured gold in ONE Championship, but she doesn't seem overly concerned about the accomplishment.
During the previously mentioned post-fight press conference, Meksen had this to say about her plans heading into 2025:
"I don't know yet. For me, I'm the champion without the crown. So I'm waiting for something good. If nothing good happens, I think I will retire. Simple."
Meksen has fought in ONE Championship six times, leading to promotional records of 2-2 in kickboxing and 2-0 in Muay Thai. His two losses were against world-class talents Phetjeeja and Jackie Buntan, both in world title fights.
Meksen's ability to fight in two sports at different weight classes gives her plenty of options for potential opponents in the future.
