French-Algerian Anissa Meksen will soon battle Stamp Fairtex in a mixed-rules superfight. Meksen is well renowned in Muay Thai and kickboxing, having held many illustrious world titles around the globe.

However, 'C18' has never fought in MMA previously. She is undefeated thus far in ONE Championship and has made an ironclad case for being the top contender for Janet Todd's kickboxing crown.

Anissa Meksen spoke with ONE Championship and explained why she took the mixed-rules superfight against Stamp Fairtex. The French-Algerian striker explained:

"It's not my goal. I took this fight because I love a challenge and since my contract with ONE about this belt, so now I want a title shot in kickboxing first. I called out Janet Todd a lot of times, and I've tried to push for this fight. So if ONE wants me to do this fight, after this fight, I want Janet Todd to sign my contract for this fight."

'C18' Meksen wants to dispatch Stamp and then continue her campaign against the reigning ONE atomweight kickboxing world champion, Janet Todd. Meksen and Stamp are booked for battle at ONE on Prime Video 6 on January 13. Each round will alternate rules between Muay Thai and MMA.

Anissa Meksen says Stamp Fairtex will not be able to compete with her

'C18' Anissa Meksen is highly confident going into her January 13 fight against Stamp. Meksen is a seven-time Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion, winning belts from all over the world. Stamp Fairtex was a two-sport world champion, holding both the ONE atomweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world titles before transitioning to MMA.

Regardless of world titles, Stamp Fairtex has not impressed Meksen. Speaking to ONE, the French-Algerian fighter said:

"For me, she's a good fighter, but not the best. I have beaten stronger athletes than her. So for me, I never underestimate my opponent. But you know, I prepare like it will be the last one. Every time. But for me, she's not the best fighter in the world. I've beaten fighters stronger than her."

Anissa Meksen is looking forward to the fight at ONE on Prime Video 6. She concluded with:

“I have 123 fights and only four losses. If she [Stamp Fairtex] doesn't care about my skills, my punches, everything, she’s never faced a girl like me. Believe me, I hope she will be ready on January 13 because I will smash her for sure.”
