Colby Covington returned to the octagon last weekend after nearly a year of inactivity, suffering a third-round TKO loss to Joaquin Buckley in the main event of UFC on ESPN 63. 'Chaos' lost the first two rounds on all three judges' scorecards before being stopped by the doctor due to a cut on his eyelid.
The No. 9-ranked welterweight was recently gambling online, where he attempted to flirt with the virtual blackjack dealer, stating:
"Let's ask her where she's from, see if I still got game. Oh! She's smiling boys, we got her. No, no, no, come back. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh, this is the worst day of my life. I found the one. What? No, no, don't kick us out. I love her. She's absolutely stunning. Where you at, baby? Yeah, she's the one. Okay, I see you. I see you. Alright. You ain't getting away from me that easy, sugar mama."

Chael Sonnen nearly threw the towel in during Colby Covington's bout
Chael Sonnen was in Colby Covington's corner for his UFC on ESPN 63 clash with Joaquin Buckley. While there might be controversies surrounding the doctor's stoppage, 'The American Gangster' revealed that he agreed with the decision and was prepared to throw the towel in.
Speaking on his podcast, Beyond the Fight, Sonnen stated:
"Colby was getting hit on his feet with everything you could do. I mean, he's busted open so bad the doctor has to look at it three times. Twice, he stops the action to let it keep going. The third time he says, 'man, we can't go anymore'. I was going to stop that fight. I already grabbed the towel. When the doctor came in for the third time and I'm watching that blood, it's not stopping and it is going into the eye and that's the only thing you're really looking for."

Sonnen noted that the blood going into the eye is more relevant than the amount of blood. He added that even a small amount of blood going into the eye can affect a fighter's vision and that if the doctor did not intervene, he would have thrown the towel in to protect Covington.
