Alex Pereira has found himself a supporter in fellow UFC roster-mate Terrance McKinney amid recent allegations against him. McKinney poked fun at the UFC light heavyweight champion's accuser, Meredith Brown, who recently deleted her social media posts accusing 'Poatan' of sexually assaulting her.
The lightweight prospect took to X to joke that Brown's decision to walk back on her accusation, along with her scrubbing her social media accounts clean of any accusations, deactivating and then reactivating her Instagram, among other actions, should count as a title defense for Pereira.

Discrepancies in Brown's accusation emerged, which eagle-eyed UFC fans were quick to catch. She claimed to not be a UFC fan and that she had never attended an event until UFC 302, which is when she alleged that the sexual assault took place. However, fans were quick to find videos of her at UFC 299.
More concerning, she was alleged by the aforementioned fans to have been trying to gain the attention of UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley, who headlined UFC 299. Another development that led some to question the legitimacy of her accusation was a leaked Instagram DM.
The DM allegedly shows Brown praising herself for the amount of overnight fame she has gained since accusing Pereira of sexual assault. This led many to believe that she falsely accused the Brazilian star to drive engagement to her OnlyF*ns page.
Pereira himself has said nothing of the allegations, ignoring them altogether, while some have called for him to address them.
Alex Pereira is the third UFC double champion to be accused of sexual assault
Alex Pereira isn't the first two-division UFC champion to be accused of sexual assault by a woman. Conor McGregor, the first simultaneous two-division UFC champion, has been accused of sexual assault multiple times, though he has neither been charged nor found guilty on any occasion.
Meanwhile, current UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who once reigned at 205 pounds, was accused by a strip club waitress of choking her, kissing her neck, and touching her despite her pleading with him to stop. Unlike Pereira and McGregor, Jones was charged, but served no jail time.
