Sept. 21 proved to be a rough day at work for Anthony Joshua. 'AJ' locked horns against Daniel Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Before the bout, Joshua was riding a four-fight win streak that included victories over Francis Ngannou and Otto Wallin. Dubois, on the other hand, entered the matchup with back-to-back wins against Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic.

The fight proved to be a one-sided affair as Dubois outclassed Joshua and hurt him badly on several occasions. The clash eventually ended in the fifth round with a KO victory for 'Dynamite'.

During his post-fight press conference, the 34-year-old Joshua stated that he intended on continuing his boxing journey, refuting the recent retirement rumors. Furthermore, 'AJ' praised Dubois and his team for their victory.

"And probably you're asking, 'Do I sitll wanna continue fighting?' Of course, I wanna continue fighting. We took a shot at success and came up short. And what does that mean now? We're gonna run away? We're gonna live to fight another day. And that's what I am, I'm a warrior. And also before I finish, we have to give credit to our opponent as well, Daniel. When I sign up to fight opponents, I don't really like them in my head anymore. But now that it's done, I take my hat off to him and say well done to him and his team."

With the victory, Dubois retained his IBF heavyweight belt and became only the third fighter to beat Joshua in a professional bout. Before Saturday night, only Oleksandr Usyk and Andy Ruiz had managed to score victories against the Brit.
