MMA fighters Anthony Taylor and Darren Till are currently on a collision course. They'll clash in a boxing match under the Misfits Boxing banner. Taylor made a bold prediction for the much-awaited fight, which elicited a fiery response from Till.
A former UFC welterweight and middleweight contender, Darren Till was booked to face Tommy Fury at the upcoming Misfits Boxing event on Jan. 18, 2025. However, in December 2024, Fury pointed out that Till threatened to utilize MMA tactics, such as kicking him in the head, if he felt he was losing their boxing match.
Fury accused Till of having contacted betting companies about possibly using MMA tactics in their boxing match. 'TNT' withdrew from their boxing match. Ultimately, ex-Bellator fighter Taylor stepped in to box against Till in the event's headliner.
Anthony Taylor recently featured in the The Ariel Helwani Show. Darren Till crashed the interview and traded barbs with 'Pretty Boy' during his mid-interview video call and then departed. Moreover, Taylor then warned that he'll stop Till within three rounds:

"I'm going to finish this dude inside three rounds. It doesn't matter what he has planned. If you want to kick, I'm gonna kick back. If you wanna elbow on the elbow punch -- whatever you want to do, I'll do it 10 times worse. Look, Ariel, I told you this earlier. Like I said, I said, 'Hey, Ariel. In a couple of years, I'm going to be one of the biggest names in the scene.' And I am now. Because I put in the hard work. I can't be denied the hard work that I put in. I train hard to make this sh** look easy." And that's the motto I follow."

Taking to X, Darren Till alluded to Taylor's warning that he was capable of responding with MMA tactics if the Liverpudlian used them in their boxing showdown. Well, Till re-posted a video clip of himself knocking down ex-UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker in their middleweight bout that transpired in 2020.
Though Till lost that fight via unanimous decision, the consensus is that he's competed at a much higher level than Taylor in MMA. Making an allusion to the same, the Muay Thai savant tweeted:
"He's going to elbow me ten times worse? Yeh ok..."
Darren Till sounded off on Anthony Taylor after crashing interview
Darren Till (18-5, 1 draw) departed the UFC in 2023 and has since won an exhibition boxing bout. Till will fight Anthony Taylor (7-5 MMA, 3-3 pro boxing) in a 195-pound catchweight boxing bout under the Misfits boxing banner on Jan. 18.
After Till crashed Taylor's aforementioned interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, the American eventually asked him why he was supposedly quieter and bereft of his usual boisterous persona. 'The Gorilla' replied by sounding off on Taylor, particularly emphasizing that 'Pretty Boy' doesn't realize what he's getting into. Till said:
"I actually like you, but I'm not excited for this fight because you're sh**. I'm just going to beat you. You're just sh**. I'm sorry for being disrespectful. But you're really, really sh**. You fall over your feet. You wing punches." [*comments at the interview's 10:00-minute mark]
