Arman Tsarukyan has predicted his method of victory against Islam Makhachev, believing his improved skills has made him more dangerous than ever.
Tsarukyan is set for his first chance at UFC gold when he faces Makhachev later this month at UFC 311. The pair are set to headline the event, which takes place on Jan. 18 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
Their upcoming bout isn't the first time the pair have faced-off, with their first encounter taking place back in 2019. 'Ahalkalakets' was making his debut and accepted the fight on short notice. Despite the valiant effort from the Armenian, however, Makhachev took the victory via unanimous decision as the pair earned a Fight of the Night bonus.

Ahead of their bout next weekend, Arman Tsarukyan spoke to MMA reporter Kevin Iole. Tsarukyan, who has won his last four bouts in a row, was then asked for his prediction for the fight, to which he issued a bold warning to Islam Makhachev. He said:
"Maybe I don't even need one takedown [against Makhachev]. Maybe I just need one good hook and that's it."
When asked about his improvements in his striking, Tsarukyan added:
"Maybe 10 times [better at striking now than when they first fought]. I do work a lot on my boxing. I believe now my hands are way stronger than they were. I can't wait to go there and show what I've been preparing. I work on all my skills, Makhachev is a great wrestler and grappler...I've got to defend all that stuff...but I work on all my skills and now I'm a complete all-round fighter. I'm ready for anything."

Arman Tsarukyan weighs in on Ilia Topuria's potential lightweight switch
Arman Tsarukyan has backed Ilia Topuria's decision to potentially move up to the lightweight division in the near future.
Following his stunning KO victory over Max Holloway in 2024, 'El Matador' outlined his intentions to win the 155-pound title. While no potential fight has been confirmed, Topuria has regularly expressed his interest in facing either Islam Makhachev or the top contenders in the division.
Tsarukyan was then asked about Topuria's plans during a recent interview with MMA Junkie. According to the 28-year-old, he would welcome Topuria to the division as he believes it's where the organization's biggest stars are. He said:
"He should move to 155 because he has a big name. As much as we have big names in our division, it’s gonna be better for us, you know. We gonna make more money, and our weight class gonna be like, you know, famous. It’s still famous.”
