Arman Tsarukyan recently revealed that he couldn't stick to his pre-planned strategy after getting nearly choked out by Charles Oliveira in his previous fight at UFC 300.

Tsarukyan began his UFC 300 encounter against Oliveira with a steady approach. However, his Brazilian rival managed to take the fight to the ground in the first minute.

Oliveira also secured a guillotine choke on Tsarukyan after sweeping him off his feet with a kick in the first round. Tsarukyan eventually broke free from 'Do Bronx's' submission attempt, but his facial expressions showcased him struggling to escape the choke initially.

Tsarukyan recently caught up with ESPN's Brett Okamoto for an interview where he opened up on various topics including his upcoming UFC 311 encounter against Islam Makhachev. An update from @Home_of_Fight on X highlighted a section of the interview where Tsarukyan described how Oliveira's choke made him forget his "game plan" for the fight. 'Ahalkalakets' said:

Arman Tsarukyan's words showcase his agreement with Mike Tyson's famous quote

In the aforementioned interview, Brett Okamoto questioned Arman Tsarukyan about Islam Makhachev's game plan for UFC 311. This got Tsarukyan talking about how he forgot his strategy during his UFC 300 fight. However, Tsarukyan's actual answer reflected his alignment with one of Mike Tyson's famous quotes.

In an interview during the buildup to his 1987 fight against Tyrell Biggs, Tyson described how he was unfazed about his rival's game plan:

"Everyone has a plan 'till they get punched in the face."

Tsarukyan also resorted to the same tone while answering Okamoto about Makhachev's game plan for UFC 311:

"Game plan? When you got hard punch [get punched hard] you forget about game plan. If I hurt him [Islam Makhachev] very well, he's gonna forget about [his] game plan."
