Arman Tsarukyan recently reaffirmed his stance on being adamant about not disclosing his secret technique that he has planned for his lightweight title fight against Islam Makhachev at UFC 311. The Armenian has hinted at some techniques he has up his sleeve and plans to use them when he spots an opening.

The Armenian and the reigning lightweight champion are no strangers to each other as they competed once before in 2019, which saw the Dagestani earn a unanimous decision. The familiarity they have after fighting for three rounds could be useful as they prepare for significantly improved versions of each other on Saturday night.

During his pre-fight media availability ahead of UFC 311, the No.1 ranked lightweight answered after a reporter made an attempt to have him disclose the techniques he has in store. Tsarukyan mentioned that it wouldn't make any sense to disclose it as he wants to catch Makhachev off guard, but reiterated that it's something that hasn't been done in the octagon:

"I shouldn't say that secret technique. Like, everybody asking the same questions, 'What's the secret technique?'...It makes no sense to ask that question. It's a high kick, guys...A technique I have never seen in the UFC, in highlights as well...That technique, you're gonna say, 'Oh, wow. What is that?' Like, the upkick last fight."
