Arnold Allen recently revealed that he was in a car accident after nodding off while driving just days before his fight at UFC 304. 'Almighty' is fresh off a dominant unanimous decision victory over Giga Chikadze in a featherweight bout last weekend at the Co-Op Live arena in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Allen, along with the other British fighters on the card, had to acclimate to fighting in the early hours of the morning for UFC 304. When the 30-year-old Englishman finally made his way to the octagon, it was around 3:00 a.m. local time in Manchester. Allen spent weeks adjusting to the unorthodox fight schedule, making sure he could stay alert for his bout against Chikadze, but the effort exacted a significant toll on his well-being.

During a recent video on his YouTube channel, 'Almighty' shared that just weeks leading up to UFC 304, he was involved in a car accident. Fortunately, he emerged uninjured from the crash, which occurred as he was driving home from a sparring session and dozed off behind the wheel due to sleep deprivation:

"I was driving home half asleep and I spun my car out, and crashed it into a barrier somewhere. That was on the way home after my last sparring. I was so tired, and it was pretty scary, facing the wrong way on the motorway. You don’t ever want to see the cars coming at you."

Allen added:

"No one got hurt, didn’t hit anyone else, damaged my car a bit, and it was 100 percent because I was half asleep. Rushing home trying to get back to bed. So hopefully I never do that again because that sucked."

Arnold Allen refutes Giga Chikadze’s spying allegations post-UFC 304 win

In the post-event interview for UFC 304, Arnold Allen responded to Giga Chikadze's espionage accusations in the lead-up to their fight.

'Almighty' dismissed the allegations, asserting that no such incident occurred and attributing the claims to his opponent's paranoia. He said:

"The MMA circuit is a very small circuit and we're a tight-knit community. I had a couple of teammates who were working out with [Chikadze's] training partner and they just told me that he asked them to leave. But I never asked anyone to go watch or do anything. I've never done that so I was a bit confused when he said that at the face-off."

With his recent victory, Allen returned to winning ways after consecutive losses to Movsar Evloev and Max Holloway. He now boasts an 11-2 record in the octagon.
