Arnold Allen got his first shot in the UFC back in 2015 after filling in on short notice to face Alan Omer at UFC Fight Night: Berlin. His debut bout was a close affair, with both fighters having strong moments on the ground. However, it was 'Almighty' who got his hand raised, submitting Omer in the third round.
The Kurdistan-born fighter, Omer, only competed twice in the UFC and was let go by the organization after losing to Allen in Berlin. Despite the setback, 'Mr. Erbil' has remained unbeaten since losing his final bout in the UFC, winning six professional fights in a row.
Many of Alan Omer's latest fights have been in well-respected organizations; he has competed in the likes of Bellator, UAE Warriors, and Brave CF.

However, Arnold Allen's first UFC opponent hasn't fought since 2020. It was discovered that Alan Omer had a brain tumor which had to be removed. After a seemingly successful operation, the former UFC fighter is reportedly training again and will return as soon as possible.
It's clear that the two fighters have had very different paths in the MMA world: Allen on the cusp of a UFC title shot and Omer no longer with the organization. But Allen's former foe is on an impressive winning streak and may one day return to the octagon.

How long is Arnold Allen's UFC win streak?
After making a successful UFC debut against Alan Omer, Arnold Allen has continued his winning ways in the organization. 'Almighty' extended his winning streak to 10-fights in a row after beating Calvin Kattar last weekend. Allen wasn't thrilled with his tenth win in a row, with the bout against Kattar ending early due to the American suffering a knee injury in the second round.
This winning streak mimics that of Alexander Volkanovski, with the pound-for-pound king also on an impressive winning spree in the featherweight rankings.

Allen is getting closer and closer to a featherweight title shot and will likely be in the hat for the next 145lbs title contest. 'Almighty' called for a potential interim title shot during his octagon interview, which could also be an option if Volkanovski takes on Islam Makhachev for the lightweight title next.
