Artur Beterbiev and his team responded to Eddie Hearn's comments on the recent fight against Dmitry Bivol. On Oct. 12, Beterbiev defeated Bivol by a majority decision to become the undisputed light heavyweight champion. However, it was a closely contested fight and many felt that the decision could have gone either way.
At the post-fight press conference, Hearn said that Bivol had done enough to win on the scorecards. When Beterbiev was asked to share his thoughts on Hearn's comments, he said:
"They can say anything... [Smiles]"
Top Rank's Carl Moretti spoke on Betebiev's behalf and added:

"It's okay to have close fights either way. But it wasn't a robbery. I think it was a close fight. Someone gave it 7-5 the other way, maybe. But Bivol hasn't been here yet and he fought great. Look at Artur's face and then look at Bivol's face when he walks into the room. And even though his gloves were high, something was hitting him. It wasn't a ghost. So, we'll go from there."

Meanwhile, Hearn, known for furiously defending his fighters, praised Beterbiev and his team but felt that Bivol should have left the arena as the undisputed champion:
"What we saw tonight was one of the great fights, one of the greatest examples of our sport. We saw a guy that had never gone the distance before, the biggest monster in the sport and we saw one of the purest boxers, one of the most skillful fighters I've ever seen. I don't want to disrespect Artur Beterbiev and his team because they're just incredible fighters. But I find it sickening that after a lifetime of hard work, Dmitry Bivol is not an undisputed champion tonight."
