MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz seems unhappy with UFC champions like Jon Jones and Merab Dvalishvili for "ducking" deserving challengers like Tom Aspinall and Umar Nurmagomedov respectively. Abdelaziz took to X and shared a cryptic post, which may be directed at Dvalishvili and/or Jones.
The Dominance MMA head suggested that if champions refuse to fight, there should be an immediate interim title fight in their division. He wrote:
“I think if you are the UFC Champion and you are refusing your fight any Contender then UFC should have the right to implement an Interim Title immediately, because right now a lot of Champions are ducking the clear number one Contenders.”

Jon Jones says he wants to fight Alex Pereira instead of Tom Aspinall
Jon Jones is set to face Stipe Miocic at UFC 309. However, Jones' future is unclear, and fans are wondering what he plans to do after the fight. Will he retire or continue to fight?
Speaking to MMA reporter Aaron Bronsteter, Jones stated that he would prefer a fight with Alex Pereira for the BMF title over a heavyweight unification bout with Tom Aspinall. He also mentioned that an interim fight for Aspinall should not have taken place. Jones said:
"Well, the interim championship shouldn't have been there in the first place. The only reason why there was an interim champion fight was because I got hurt, and they needed to keep the importance of that Madison Square Garden event... Making it an interim fight was premature, and now you have a bunch of confused people."
Jones continued:
"It'd be cool to fight over the heavyweight championship, but I would also willingly give up the heavyweight championship... I love the position that I'm in right now. Fighting Pereira for the BMF belt, that'd be cool."
