Fans are still waiting for Jon Jones' return fight announcement but the UFC heavyweight champion is only focused on himself. As he depicted in a recent video post, Jones claimed he is silencing social media as he locks into training camp.
Though 'Bones' has still not had his rumored matchup with Stipe Miocic made official, the 37-year-old has been fully expecting to headline UFC 309 in November. While he danced and tossed his phone into the water, Jones captioned his video:
"As much as I love you, you're not as important as my goals to me right now"

Fans were quick to tease Jones for the video while bringing up his ongoing rivalry with interim champion Tom Aspinall. One fan joked that Jones was scared of a phone call from Aspinall, commenting:
"Aspinall must have been calling"
Since he won the interim title at UFC 295, Aspinall has repeatedly called for a fight with Jones but has not had his callout reciprocated by either Jones or the UFC. Instead, Aspinall defended his belt at UFC 304 and is expected to be the backup fighter for the fight between Jones and Miocic.
Other fans commented:
"CTE"
"That's his phone for the dealers lol"
"Bro ain't fighting until 2026"

Is Jon Jones fighting Stipe Miocic?
Since tearing his pectoral muscle and withdrawing from UFC 295 last November, Jon Jones has not been booked in another fight. However, he is widely expected to have his fight with Stipe Miocic put back together.
Jones has not fought since submitting Ciryl Gane to win the UFC heavyweight title at UFC 285 in March 2023. Despite Dana White speaking of Jones vs. Miocic as if it is a confirmed fight, no credible source has announced it as of August.
While the return would end a 20-month layoff for Jones, it would conclude an even longer hiatus for Miocic. Having just turned 42 on Aug. 19, Miocic has not fought since losing the title to Francis Ngannou at UFC 260 in March 2021.
